I feel a lot older but I think that has much more to do with the recent fear of running than my years.  A little over a month until my next 8k.  On a team.  I’m back.

About a new job where you don’t know what you’re doing and you feel like the odd woman out that is so exhausting? I feel like going to bed right now. Will do some weights, eat and maybe watch bachelor pad because I’m classy. Then bed. Working out tomorrow morning!!!

It has really hit me now that I’m going to a party tomorrow where I won’t really know anyone and my career somewhat hinges on it… I wouldn’t say I normally have any problem talking to strangers or meeting new people but I think I DO typically…

Hmmm I don’t think you make bad jokes and I’m not just saying that because I’m your cousin :) I always just try to look relaxed and smile/nod lol you’ll be fine! You have a great personality (cliche but true)!

Had a super fun workout today courtesy of Claire and I met another tumblr, Jbizzle!

It made me wish I could run longer - I haven’t done more than 30 minutes running in a while! But I did do a little over an hour on the elliptical (thanks in part to getting caught up in an episode of Kitchen Cousins).

Thus far I liked what I saw at FFC - big, super clean, friendly staff. If Diego (and am I totally insane, but I thought he was cute? Claire, Jessica?) comes to my show on Monday as he said he might, I am sold on that place. It would be nice to have a gym so close to me, I could go in the morning and still get ready at home since it’s only 2 blocks away. 

Today I actually cooked chicken and created a tasty and emotionally satisfying (I know no other way to describe it) chicken pesto sandwich with feta. It’s funny - feta and pesto are so decadent, but a little reallly goes a long way. With each I ended up splitting the portion size in half and I think I could go with even less next time. The total for both was 5 points on Weight Watchers and well worth it from a taste perspective. Chicken breast was thin sliced, cooked plain with a tiny bit of olive oil, so that was three. I put it on some toasted sourdough (I made sure said bread had very few ingredients - natural and non-processed) and it was a really satisfying lunch. I tend to eat my heaviest meal at lunch because that is when I am hungriest.

Also - satisfying dessert discovery for summer - low fat ice cream in a cone. The cones are super tiny so putting a small serving makes it seems like you’re eating a ton. The cones are 15 calories and basically just crunchy air. Crunchy air that reminds me of my childhood and makes the whole ice cream experience a celebration.
